: The New Routemaster RMA Bus
The Routemaster RMA Bus (airport Routemaster) was designed for BEA as an airport bus with doors at the front. The vehicle features deep seat cushions, better suspension, overhead luggage racks, heating and fluorescent lighting. A very small number of these were built in 1966/1967.
This particular vehicle, affectionately known as "Nellie", has been restored to a very high original standard. The interior has been renewed in the old style B.E.A moquette. The vehicle seats 57, 32 upstairs and 25 downstairs and in view of this coach style seating there is considerably more room for the passengers than a standard Routemaster Bus.
